My name is Dalton and I am a 25 year old Cinematographer living in Las Vegas. I purchased the Glidecam HD-2000 around 3 years ago in my first year of filming full time. I started out filming BMX and wanted to capture that true feeling as if you were right there floating next to the rider. I still remember the first time I ever put it to use was running next to a set of dirt jumps along side full speed capturing every bmx trick and weaving in and out of the jumps. It was the most amazing feeling in the world and playing back the footage looked as if I was floating through the jumps. It was one of the first pieces of equipment I bought to upgrade my production value and to this day I still have the same Glidecam and have never had any issues with it. I love the size of it and how it breaks down into 3 small pieces for travel or how you can just strap it onto the back of your film bag. I film a wide variety of things and travel a lot so the fact that its small and durable is key. I have lots of gear including drones, 12ft jibs, sliders, etc. but the HD-2000 is something I always bring along no matter how big the project is. It makes your action shots smoother and brings those boring shots to life. I've had multiple friends buy knockoff 3rd party glidecams that are cheaper but they don't last you in the long run. They fall apart and break over time and don't balance as well as the glidecam. This is why I will stick by their product 100% because customer service is awesome and the quality is top notch. You can't beat it. And to this day I still amaze clients with glidecam shots. They can never believe how smooth it is and have huge smiles on their face. I use the glidecam more than any other piece of equipment on a daily bases and highly recommend it to anyone from beginner to advanced filmmakers. Another awesome advantage of the glidecam is the removable plate on the top and since I film lots of nightlife it comes in handy when i need to remove the camera from the glidecam itself to get certain shots handheld. Also balancing is as easy and quick, but if you can't get the hang of it there are some awesome tutorials from the man Tom himself online.
