We produce low-budget cable commercials in the Washington, D.C. Market. Typically our clients spend between $500 and $750 for a commercial and of course they expect the commercial to look like a $10,000 commercial. Needless to say, we need production tools which can provide the best possible product at the lowest possible price. I was a little leary of the claims Glidecam made about the Dual-G, but after trying it out for the first time-I AM A BELIEVER.
Right out of the box-it works great! We use it on every production for at least one or two shots. So, now no matter what the budget, our clients get a much better spot-which means we get more clients! So was it worth it? YES! Is it easy? YES! Would I recommend it? YES! (except to the competition).
Also thanks for the advice from your technical department- they gave me some tips on how to maximize it's use.
